Founded in 2007 by Michael Morgan, Hope Toys & Laughter (HTL) has grown into one of the DMV area’s most cherished charities, dedicated to uplifting needy children and their families every year. Operating year-round with no paid employees or professional fundraisers, HTL proudly ensures that 100% of all donations go directly to helping families in need.

Each holiday season, HTL hosts a unique charitable comedy event to collect new, unwrapped books and toys for children who are battered, abused, homeless, orphaned, or hospitalized. Believing that laughter truly heals the soul, our event showcases performances by local comedians and entertainers, along with a catered meal, exciting giveaways, and a “whole lotta fun” for all.

HTL’s mission is simple but impactful: to bring hope to the hopeless and to support children with a healthy dose of joy and happiness. Through our efforts, we strive to brighten the lives of those who need it most, sharing a message of love, laughter, and compassion, one child at a time.
